Shipping Information

We ship live Nishikigoi to over 30 countries across Europe, North America, Asia, and Oceania. All shipments comply with CITES regulations and are accompanied by full health certificates issued by Japanese authorities. Import permits, if required by the destination country, are the responsibility of the buyer — please check your local regulations before ordering.

Each koi is packed using high-grade oxygen-filled bags with double sealing, placed inside insulated polystyrene boxes to maintain a stable temperature during transit. We use medical-grade oxygen and proven packing ratios to ensure survival rates well above industry standards. Fish are fasted for 24–48 hours prior to shipping to minimize waste and maintain water quality.

Most international shipments are dispatched via air freight on Tuesday or Wednesday to avoid fish being held over weekends. Transit time from Japan is typically 24–36 hours door-to-door for most major destinations. You will receive tracking information and estimated arrival details once your shipment is booked. We coordinate delivery times with you to ensure someone is available to receive the fish.

Live fish shipping is inherently subject to weather, airline schedules, and customs procedures. We take every precaution to minimize risk, but cannot guarantee specific delivery dates. In the unlikely event of DOA (dead on arrival), please photograph the fish in the sealed bag and contact us within 2 hours of delivery. We handle each case individually and work to find a fair resolution.
